What You’ll Be Doing?

As a key member of the Family Violence, Homelessness and Therapeutic Services Team, you will:

  • Deliver holistic, trauma-informed counselling to adults, children, and young people.

  • Conduct clinical assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions that promote healing and resilience.

  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Counsellors, Family Violence Practitioners, and Homelessness Practitioners.

  • Support clients in developing coping strategies, self-esteem, and long-term wellbeing.

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment.

What you’ll bring?

  • A Bachelor degree (or higher) in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing counselling within family violence, trauma, or related settings.

  • Strong understanding of the impacts of trauma and family violence on adults and children.

  • Proficiency in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention delivery.

  • Familiarity with MARAMIS and FVISS/CISS frameworks (advantageous).

  • Excellent communication, empathy, and documentation skills.

  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence, full working rights in Australia, and willingness to complete pre-employment checks (NDIS, Police, WWCC, Medical).
