Senior Wellbeing Coordinator (Special Needs)

Radical Recruitment is partnering with a specialist education and disability services provider in Sydney’s North-West to appoint a Senior Wellbeing Coordinator (Special Needs) on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an experienced educator ready to drive inclusion, student wellbeing, and learning support across a collaborative school community committed to positive outcomes for students with additional needs.

About the Role

Reporting to the school’s senior leadership team, you will lead and oversee student wellbeing, inclusion, and learning support programs across the school. You will coordinate Individual Learning Plans, specialised support programs, and student interventions while working closely with teachers, families, and external agencies to ensure students with additional needs receive the right support at the right time.

This role carries genuine influence where you will mentor and develop teaching and support staff, contribute to school-wide strategic planning, and champion a culture of belonging and engagement. The position also attracts a leadership allowance and NDIS allowance on top of a competitive base salary, reflecting the seniority and scope of the role.

What are we looking for?

  • Recognised teaching qualifications and current NESA Accreditation.
  • Minimum five years teaching experience with demonstrated leadership in a Head of Department, Wellbeing Coordinator, Learning Support Leader, or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience supporting students with additional needs, disabilities, or diverse learning requirements.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education practices, positive behaviour support frameworks, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check and a valid driver’s licence.
  • Experience in special education settings, or qualifications in special needs education, wellbeing, or counselling (desirable).
