Radical Recruitment is proud to partner exclusively with a respected community service organisation in Southeast Victoria to appoint a Senior Psychologist / Counsellor within their Family Violence and Trauma Services team. This is a genuine opportunity to deliver trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic support to victim survivors of family violence, within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that is deeply committed to recovery, resilience, and lasting wellbeing.

About the Role

You will deliver holistic, trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic interventions to adults, children, and young people, providing clinical assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based support that promotes recovery and builds long-term resilience. You will work alongside a dedicated team of Counsellors, Family Violence Practitioners, and Homelessness Practitioners, contributing to a service environment that is safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive.

The role calls for someone with a strong clinical grounding in trauma and family violence, who brings both compassion and professional rigour to every client interaction.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor qualification or higher in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work.
  • Minimum 2 years of counselling experience within family violence, trauma, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of the impacts of family violence and trauma on adults and children.
  • Skilled in therapeutic assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based intervention delivery.
  • Familiarity with frameworks including MARAMIS and FVISS/CISS.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and full working rights in Australia.
